Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Canada. I grew up surrounded by Alberta’s vast prairies to the east and the vista of the majestic Rocky Mountains to the west.
My primary mediums are oils, watercolour, and chalk pastel. I describe myself as a contemporary representational painter who can easily cover the artistic gamut of lightly representational landscapes to realistic portraits. The majority of my works are based on my own photography, enabling me to create one of a kind, unique works that convey my passion for my surroundings.
My artwork can be found in private and corporate collections throughout Canada and the United States. I have received numerous awards for my work, including first place at the prestigious Spruce Meadows Equestrian Center Red Ribbon Contest.
I am a graduate of the University of Calgary (2009) and have completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (with distinction), majoring in painting.
When not painting in my home studio, I can often be found indulging in two of my other passions: riding the foothills on my horse with a camera in hand.
